Flower Paintings
Flowers are just a a symphony of color and light. They are so temporary--a bloom on a flowering tree lasting just a few days before dropping petals, and yet each year, the dependable trees produce the same beautiful blossoms. I paint flowers to prolong my enjoyment of them. If a camera can capture a moment in time, my process of painting allows me to study the nuances of the form over an extended period of time.
